Minister AHY watched two matches, namely the Indonesian Women’s Singles, Gregoria Mariska vs Czech Republic and the Indonesian Men’s Singles, Anthony Ginting vs France.

“What is clear is that we hope that our players will also perform optimally, remain confident and of course make achievements.

“Today we will witness live badminton from Gregoria Tunjung and Anthony Ginting,” explained Minister AHY. Ministers AHY and Annisa looked focused and enthusiastic, occasionally shouting “Come on Indonesia” and clapping red and white balloons that read Indonesia.

In the first Indonesian Women’s Singles match, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung qualified for the round of 16 in badminton at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

This confirmation was obtained after Gregoria defeated the representative of the Czech Republic, Tereza Svabikova. Gregoria won 21-12, 21-18 and had the right to advance to the round of 16.

Meanwhile, Anthony Ginting had to stop in the group phase of the 2024 Olympics. Ginting was eliminated after being defeated by the host player, Toma Junior Popov in a three-set duel with a final score of 19-21, 21-17, 15-21.

Minister AHY then told all athletes who were still competing to focus and give their best.

“Once again, hopefully we can compete well and hopefully other athletes in the various sports that are competing can also achieve success and achievements and even gold medals for our beloved Indonesia,” concluded Minister AHY.
